Frequently asked questions
Is Begu Meet free?
Yes. You can create and join as many meetings as you like at no cost.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. Open meet.begucorporation.com in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on a computer or a phone, and type your name.
How many people can join a meeting?
Up to 8 people per meeting. That suits most team meetings, lessons and family calls.
Are my calls private?
Yes. Audio and video are encrypted and go directly between participants. Begu Meet never records or stores calls on its servers, and chat messages are deleted when the call ends.
Can I record a meeting?
Yes. Click the Record button during a call. Everyone in the meeting sees a red “Recording” badge. When you stop, the video, with everyone's camera and sound, is saved straight to your device as a video file. It is never uploaded.
Why can't others see or hear me?
Check that your browser has permission to use your camera and microphone. Look for the camera icon in the address bar. Also make sure your mic and camera buttons aren't red.
Who decides who can join?
The person who creates the meeting is the host. Everyone else clicks Ask to join and waits until the host admits them. The host can also remove people from the call. If the host leaves, someone else in the call becomes host automatically, so people can still be let in.
Can I plan a meeting for later?
Yes. Choose New meeting → Create a meeting for later to get a link you can share now, or Schedule in Google Calendar to send invitations.
